About Me

“Calming allows us to rest, and resting is a precondition for healing.”

― Thich Nhat Hanh

If you can’t remember how happiness feels or wonder if you have ever felt it, if you wake up each morning and your first thoughts are of exhaustion and dread of the day ahead, if you use alcohol, food or other substances just to function, then it is time to rest and heal with support.

I value autonomy, rest and compassion in my work with you. You are the expert and I provide strategies that connect or reconnect you with your physical body, challenge you to reflect on your experiences and encourage action and ownership for your life.

As a social worker in the corridor for over 15 years, I have had the privilege to work in a variety of settings: outpatient therapy, inpatient hospital settings, community mental health clinics and middle and high schools. I have worked with a variety of individuals at different stages in their lives including veterans, students, those with serious mental health diagnoses and/or substance use diagnoses, court-involved youth, transitioning individuals, individuals struggling with weight or self-trust.

My specific clinical trainings include EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-lead treatment that helps to identify how and where trauma may be stuck in the body, and Intuitive Eating, a way to trust and nourish your body without diets or restriction. I also use other thought and body-based treatments including CBT, DBT, STEPPS, and mindfulness techniques.
